Terms of use
Last updated October 29, 2026
Yearcap is run by Róbert Nikulásson (Lucency), Iceland. By using Yearcap you agree to these terms. Questions: robert@lucency.dev.
What Yearcap does
You upload a file with your users’ stats. Yearcap turns each row into a year-in-review story with a private link for that user and a share page they can choose to post.
Your data and your users
- Only upload data you’re allowed to use this way. You’re responsible for telling your users about it under your own privacy policy.
- Don’t upload passwords, payment details, health data, or anything you wouldn’t want shown on a card. Every column can end up on a card.
- You own your data. We use it only to make and show the stories. See the privacy policy.
- You can delete a campaign at any time from its dashboard. That removes every user’s row and link.
Plans and payment
- Free covers up to 500 users. Season ($49) covers up to 10,000, and Big year ($149) up to 100,000.
- Each payment is a one-time charge for one campaign. There is no subscription.
- Payments are handled by Polar, which acts as the seller of record and handles sales tax.
- If your stories didn’t work and we can’t fix it, write to us within 14 days of paying and we’ll refund you.
Fair use
- No content that is illegal, hateful, or misleading, and no using story pages to send people to scams or malware.
- We may take down a campaign that breaks these rules.
No guarantees
Yearcap is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running, but we can’t promise it will never be down or wrong. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the campaign in question.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Big changes will be announced on the site.
